A paradigm shift in health care
Our current healthcare model centers drugs and surgery. Almost all health care spending is on drugs and surgery, 97% of NIH research and nearly all medical education is focused on pharmacological and surgical interventions. These methods are excellent in the ER or to treat cancer, but they’ve proven woefully ineffective in addressing preventable chronic health conditions that sicken and kill the vast majority of people.
Harvest Wholeness embraces a new Whole Health Model that places you and your self-care at the center. In this paradigm shift, we center evidence-based mind-body self-care practices that anyone can do, such as meditation, movement, artistic expression, nutrition and relaxation. Next, we compliment self-care with holistic and alternative practices proven to tap into and enhance your innate capacity to heal. Lastly, we honor the power of drug and surgical interventions when applied in the appropriate, person-centered and self-care centered context.
